I’ve found out that UIA has changed their policy. The most obvious one is the definitely our convo attire. Previously, and during my time, UIA is the only university who skip wearing a normal black convo hat. We instead opting wearing white yellowish tudung with a unique lining on top of our garb. While the guy will wearing a black songkok with our unique yellow and green lining.

Since there is a change in the management, they change it all. From top to bottom. On last week, I’ve met a friend to my dearest, Liza who has just completed her convocation. She also commented that our old garb is much more define and more UIAsm. I looked upon her picture in FB and by the look of it, it’s totally horrendous.

Why do you need to change something that is good enough just to make a statement? Or perhaps to make people remember his repertoire of making a difference. A difference indeed but something that people hates most.

I heard that several students had in fact opposed the idea of changing this convo garb, but it has been ignored completely. Pity them. Em, luckily I’m not the victim.
