Last weekend, I agreed for an invitation to break the fast with my old schoolmate. We’ve done it almost every year, and I’m yet to break the rule. But, inept services of the chosen restaurant spoil the evening that suppose to be a memorable one. I’m not going to name the place, afraid that it will contribute to its bankruptcy.
When Usop mentioned the place, we’re so looking forward to it, as it supposed to be must-go-latest eateries in Ampang. Well, the ambience is great with a lake in the middle, so like kampung style all over. But, things get nasty; the restaurant let so many people in, squeezing table in every nooks and hooks. And to make things worst, the food is scarce. We can saw that people with hungry faces, lining up for a meager food. Ok fine, lets wait for another 30 minutes to get our food, well bad decision, the tray was empty afterwards. We ended up waiting till 8pm for the cook to replenish the food.
By that time, everyone is so pissed off. We’re even not in the mood for taking pictures. I was almost contemplated of not paying full prices as we only eat less those half foods they’re serving. We can’t really understand their plight, the Ramadhan is almost over, surely they know what to expect and fully prepare with the large crowd.
My classmate then suggested to lepak in our Lazzez, Pandan Indah; the usual place to meet familiar faces of my schoolmate. I declined the offer and decided to go home instead with a sour face.
Lets hope for a merry Syawal :-)
